Explorion — power catamaran, Greek islands The name comes from Orion, the hunter of Greek myth and son of Poseidon — a fitting reference for a yacht built to work its way through the Cyclades and the Ionian at an unhurried pace. Explorion is a power catamaran, and that choice shapes everything about the way she charters. The wide beam translates into deck space you actually use: several distinct al fresco dining and lounging areas, so lunch at anchor, sundowners and a late dinner each have their own spot rather than competing for the same table. Inside, the saloon is finished in a calm, contemporary register — comfortable rather than showy, and naturally bright. Accommodation is arranged over four cabins for eight guests: an owner's cabin, a VIP cabin and two further cabins, each with a double bed. Detailed bed configuration on request. Underway, she delivers the performance of a monohull well over 70 feet, thanks to a fuel-efficient hull form and current-generation propulsion. In practice that means longer island-to-island legs without the fuel bill that usually accompanies them — useful when the plan changes at breakfast and the anchorage you had in mind is another two hours east. A professional crew looks after the yacht and her guests throughout, with itineraries built around the weather, the meltemi and what you actually want from the week.
