Azimut Grande 36M — 118ft of Italian series-built confidence The Grande 36M sits in that useful part of the fleet where a yacht is large enough to feel genuinely generous underway, yet still moves easily between Florida's East Coast, the South East and the Bahamas — the waters she knows best, summer and winter alike. Accommodation is arranged over five cabins, each with its own ensuite, for up to eleven guests. One takes a king-size bed, two are fitted with queen-size beds, and two more with twin beds — a layout that works as comfortably for two families sharing as it does for a group of friends who all expect the same standard of comfort behind their own door. Life on board organises itself around two natural poles. Aft, the beach club opens the yacht to the water: the obvious gathering point after a swim, and the place where mornings tend to stretch longer than planned. Forward, the bow lounging area with its hot tub is the counterpoint — sun, horizon, and a certain distance from everything else happening on board. Between the two, the choice of where to spend an afternoon is rarely difficult. A full complement of water toys is carried, ready when the anchor drops rather than announced as the main event.
