ALKI — Jeanneau 11.47m / 37ft, Ionian Islands A compact sailing yacht for those who measure a holiday in anchorages rather than in square metres. Built by Jeanneau in 2003 and refitted in 2021, ALKI works the Ionian the way the archipelago deserves: short hops between Lefkada, Kefalonia and Ithaca, a swim before lunch, a village quay by evening. Accommodation is arranged over three cabins, each with a double bed, for a total of six guests — a layout that suits three couples or a family sharing the same rhythm on board. Under sail, the Ionian's steady afternoon breeze does most of the work, and the scale of the yacht means everything happens within a few steps: the helm, the cockpit table, the swim ladder. It is sailing at its most direct, with the crew handling the navigation, the provisioning and the daily choices of where to drop anchor. A straightforward proposition, well suited to guests who want the sea close at hand rather than a floating hotel.
