Sun Odyssey 490 — Greece The Sun Odyssey 490 wasn't designed to reinvent the range so much as to sharpen it. Every element that defines a Sun Odyssey is here, refined a step further — and the result is a sailing yacht whose appeal lies in what it doesn't try to be. No theatre, no excess. Just a boat that makes life aboard feel easy from the first morning. That is the real character of this yacht: comfort that never announces itself, and a simplicity that turns out to be the most restful kind of luxury. You settle in quickly. The Greek islands, with their short hops and long anchorages, suit her particularly well — days that begin under sail and end swinging quietly off a beach with the engine long since silent. Accommodation Six cabins host up to twelve guests. Four cabins are fitted with a double bed, one offers a single bed, and one is arranged with bunk beds — a layout that works as naturally for two or three families sailing together as it does for a group of friends who want their own space at the end of the day. Crew and service Your crew handles the sailing, the provisioning and the daily rhythm of the itinerary, leaving you free to decide how much or how little you want to be involved. Some guests take the helm at every opportunity; others never leave the cockpit cushions. Both are entirely the point.
