Eclipse — Lagoon 52 · Thailand Eclipse is a Lagoon 52 sailing catamaran, launched in 2013 and refitted in 2022, based in Thailand and operating out of Ocean Marina Pattaya. She belongs to a generation of cruising catamarans built around one simple idea: more usable space, without giving up the pleasure of actually sailing. On board, that translates into an 8.6-metre beam and a full flybridge — which is to say several distinct places to eat, lounge and lie in the sun, in the open air, under cover, or inside. Accommodation is arranged over four cabins for eight guests, each with a queen-size bed and its own en suite washroom. The crew has separate facilities, so the guest areas stay yours throughout. Interiors are deliberately light — large windows, generous headroom, pale finishes — while well-placed hatches and portholes keep air moving through the yacht, which matters in this part of the world. Eclipse is comfortable enough to spend the night anywhere you drop anchor, off a quiet beach or in clear water, rather than heading back to the marina. A crew of two looks after the charter: a skipper who knows where the good anchorages are and when to be there, and a hostess who takes care of the rest. Shore-side management is handled on site by an international operator, from arrival logistics to itinerary planning — one point of contact, no loose ends. For the water, she carries a new Highfield OM 390 tender with a 40hp outboard, a two-person kayak, a stand-up paddleboard, a floating mat and ten sets of snorkelling gear. A straightforward, well-kept catamaran for a week among friends in Thai waters, with the planning left to someone else.
