Eos — Lagoon 400S2 · Phuket, Thailand Some catamarans are built to look good at anchor. The Lagoon 400S2 was drawn to sail, and Eos makes the case for both: launched in 2015, she came through a full refit completed in 2022 at the hands of the Lagoon service specialists in South East Asia, and she shows it in the way she has been kept since. Her volume is the first thing you notice. The hull lines are curved and low-slung, but the payoff is circulation — you move around this yacht without negotiating for space. The saloon is generous and easy to live in, with an L-shaped settee running athwartships that doubles as seating for the outboard-facing navigation station. To starboard, the split U-shaped galley houses a three-burner Eno stove and sink, with refrigeration to port, including a top-loading fridge set conveniently at the head of the stairs. The raised helm to port is one of those details that separates a well-thought-out cruising catamaran from a merely comfortable one: clear forward visibility, easy conversation with the cockpit, and genuine room for two to work side by side — one on the wheel, one on the lines. There is even space to pass behind the helm seat down into the cockpit. Below, she is laid out in owner's configuration, with one full hull given over to the owner's accommodation — large hull windows, a desk amidships, and a shower compartment sized for anyone aboard. In total, Eos offers three cabins for up to eight guests; the detailed bed configuration is available on request. She is a natural fit for one or two families exploring the islands around Phuket — Phang Nga Bay, the Similans, the quiet anchorages that reward a shallow-draft catamaran. Available bareboat or with crew, depending on how much of the planning you would rather hand over.
