MOONRISE is a 2018 Lagoon catamaran of 12.80m (42ft), based in Thailand — a yacht that plays to the strengths that made this French yard the reference in cruising multihulls: stability at anchor, shallow draft, and a natural ease of movement between saloon, cockpit and foredeck. Accommodation is arranged across three cabins, each with a double bed and its own en-suite, sleeping six guests. It is a rare and genuinely useful configuration at this size: three couples, or a family, each with real privacy rather than a compromise berth. The cruising pace is unhurried — around 7 knots — which is precisely the point in these waters. The archipelagos of the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand reward slow passages and long stops: limestone islands, sheltered bays reachable only by a catamaran's modest draft, mornings spent swimming off the transom before anyone thinks about moving on. Crewed throughout, with the discreet, well-judged service that makes a yacht of this scale feel considerably larger than her dimensions suggest.
