Ned 70 — Vripack Some yachts begin with a spec sheet. This one began with a sailor. In 2010, an experienced Dutch owner — a man who had raced and cruised singlehanded on sailing yachts from 40 to 60 feet — walked into Vripack's Netherlands studio with an unusual request. He wanted a motor yacht. Not a compromise, but a purpose-built one: a vessel he could share with a growing family, and one that could take the ground gracefully on a falling tide. What came out of that conversation is the Ned 70, a long-range motor yacht built around low displacement/length principles. Her owner has run her from Amsterdam to Norway and back over a long weekend — an itinerary that says more about range, efficiency and ease of handling than any brochure claim could.
