MOONSHOT — Sanlorenzo, 24.64m / 81ft, 2018 There is a particular kind of confidence to a Sanlorenzo of this size: enough presence to hold its own in Porto Cervo, compact enough to slip into the small anchorages that larger yachts have to admire from a distance. MOONSHOT, delivered by the Italian yard in 2018, sits exactly in that sweet spot. The interiors carry two signatures — Marty Lowe and Piero Lissoni — and the pairing shows. Lissoni's architectural restraint gives the volumes their calm, unfussy geometry; the result is a yacht that feels considered rather than decorated, the sort of space where the eye keeps returning to the horizon rather than to the joinery. Accommodation is arranged over four cabins for eight guests: an owner's cabin, a VIP cabin, a cabin with twin beds and a cabin with bunk beds — a genuinely usable layout for two couples travelling with children, or for a group of friends who value having their own door to close. MOONSHOT cruises at 25 knots and tops out at 30, which changes how a week actually unfolds: lunch in one bay and dinner in another stops being an ambition and becomes a decision made after coffee. A crew of three looks after the yacht and her guests — attentive without hovering, and familiar with the rhythms of chartering in these waters. Her cruising grounds run from the Balearics along the Spanish and French coasts to Corsica and Sardinia — the classic Western Mediterranean circuit, and a natural fit for a yacht built to move quickly between good anchorages.
