Gulet FORTUNA — 33 metres under sail in Croatia There is a particular pleasure in crossing the Dalmatian channels with the engines off: the hull settles into the swell, the rigging takes up the load, and the only sound left is water along the planking. FORTUNA sails genuinely — her canvas is working canvas, not decoration — and her crew know how to make the most of a good afternoon breeze. Guests are welcome to lend a hand on the sheets, or to stay exactly where they are with a drink in hand. At 33 metres, she carries her size well. A refit completed in 2014 raised the standard of her interior and accommodation, and the layout now welcomes up to 12 guests across six cabins: two owner's cabins, two cabins with a double bed, and two cabins with twin beds. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. Her real luxury, though, is deck space. On a yacht of this length the outdoor areas are generous enough that a group of twelve never feels stacked on top of itself — one corner for lunch in the shade, another for the long, unhurried part of the afternoon, and enough room to watch an anchorage fill up at sunset without moving from where you are. Four professional crew look after the yacht and her guests: captain, chef, hostess and deckhand. Attentive, discreet, present when needed and invisible when not — the balance that makes a week aboard feel effortless rather than staged.
