Azimut Magellano 45 — Miami, the Florida Keys & the Bahamas The Magellano line has always sat slightly apart in the Azimut range: built around long-range cruising rather than pure sprint speed, with hull forms and proportions designed to keep guests comfortable when the water isn't flat. This 2014 example, refitted in 2026, carries that brief with a distinctly Italian sense of line and light. Twin Volvo IPS drives do a great deal of the work here. The result is quiet, composed running, genuine fuel economy on longer passages, and the kind of low-speed manoeuvrability that makes tucking into a Bahamian anchorage or a Miami slip a non-event rather than an exercise. The flybridge is one of the most generous in this size class — helm station, wet bar, an al fresco dining setting and wide sun pads with clear views in every direction. It is the natural centre of gravity of the yacht during the day. Below it, the aft cockpit opens through sliding glass into the main salon, so the two spaces read as one: shade and air conditioning on one side, open deck and sea breeze on the other, with nothing more than a threshold between them. Large windows keep the interior bright throughout, the finishes restrained rather than showy. Accommodation is arranged over three cabins for four guests. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. Her shallow draft is a practical advantage in this cruising ground, opening up sandbars, mangrove channels and island anchorages that deeper-drafted yachts have to admire from a distance. A typical day runs from a morning transit across Biscayne Bay past Star Island, to a swim stop on a quiet sandbar, an afternoon at Haulover or out towards Stiltsville, then back towards the skyline as the light goes long. The swim platform and paddleboarding fill the hours in between for those who want them. Throughout, the crew handles the routing, the timing and the details on board, so the day unfolds without anyone having to manage it. Equally at ease on a full-day charter out of Miami or a multi-day run down to the Keys and across to the Bahamas.
A selection in the same zone, with a comparable profile.
