HELENE — Opus 68 Ketch · Greek Islands Helene is an aluminium Opus 68 ketch, and her pedigree explains a great deal about how she sails and how she feels underway. Naval architecture by Bill Dixon, interiors by German designer Alv Kintscher, construction by Brune Yachtbau: three names that rarely appear on the same yacht, and the result is a ketch with genuine presence — the kind of boat other crews look at twice in an anchorage. She accommodates seven guests across three cabins: an owner's cabin and two further cabins with double beds. All are air-conditioned with en-suite facilities. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. Life on board is organised around two separate cockpits, one aft and one amidships — a layout that quietly solves the usual sailing-yacht problem of everyone ending up in the same place. One becomes the shaded lunch table, the other the spot where you watch the anchorage empty out at sunset. Below, the saloon takes over after dark, with TV and DVD, laptop and internet connection. Helene is a maxi cruiser in the true sense: long enough in the waterline to make passages between the Cyclades feel effortless, private enough that a week aboard belongs entirely to your group. Her crew handles the sailing, the anchorages and the rhythm of the days, leaving you to decide only how far you want to go.
