Northwind II — Greece Some yachts trade on novelty; Northwind II trades on provenance. Her interiors came from Maison Jansen, the Paris house that furnished the Kennedy White House and worked for Coco Chanel, the Rockefellers, Onassis and the King of Belgium — a pedigree that shows in the proportions and detailing rather than in anything shouted. The fine woods aboard were restored by the same firm entrusted with Windsor Castle, and a refit completed in 2010 brought her systems and finishes up to contemporary standards without diluting what makes her singular. In 2011, Architectural Digest devoted a feature to her. Accommodation is arranged over five cabins for ten guests: an owner's cabin, a VIP cabin, and three further cabins each fitted with twin beds. Detailed bed configurations are available on request. Cruising the Greek islands, she offers something increasingly rare — a yacht with genuine history behind her joinery, and the comfort to enjoy it properly. Mornings at anchor off a Cycladic bay, evenings in interiors that carry a designer's signature rather than a catalogue's: the appeal here is authenticity, and it doesn't need embellishing.
