Gulet Allure — Croatia There is a particular pleasure in cruising the Adriatic aboard a yacht built in the traditional idiom, and Gulet Allure makes the case convincingly. Her hull lines follow the classic gulet form, while the interiors — handcrafted mahogany joinery and furniture throughout — give her a warmth that modern production yachts rarely match. A refit completed in 2021 keeps that character in good order. Seven cabins accommodate fourteen guests: an owner's cabin, plus six further cabins each with a double bed. Every cabin has its own bathroom with a separate shower enclosure and a domestic-style WC, and guests find bathroom amenities, bedding and a beach towel waiting on arrival. Forward, a cushioned platform with pillows and sunbathing mattresses is where most of the day tends to go while under way — the coastline and islands sliding past at gulet pace, which is to say slowly enough to actually look at them. Aft, a generous wooden table sets the scene for meals, whether that means the first coffee of the morning or a long dinner under the stars. Inside, the saloon is a spacious wooden space with comfortable seating and an elegant bar with its own lounge area — useful for a drink out of the midday sun, or for catching a match when the mood calls for it. A crew of four looks after the yacht and her guests, discreetly and attentively, which is rather the point of chartering with crew in the first place.
