GALAPAGOS ELITE — Cruising the Galápagos Islands Among the newest yachts working the archipelago, Galapagos Elite was conceived for one place and one purpose: exploring the Enchanted Islands in genuine comfort. Her twin-hulled catamaran platform is the difference you feel first. Where the single-hulled vessels that long dominated island cruising roll and pitch through the channels, the Elite holds steady — a quieter passage, easier nights, and far less negotiation with the sea between landings. That same architecture buys volume. Interior and exterior social spaces are unusually generous for a yacht of this brief, and the layout gives everyone somewhere to go: a broad, semi-covered sky deck, an al fresco dining area, and a bar and salon just off it for the hours between excursions. Accommodation Nine cabins host up to sixteen guests. Each is a suite in the proper sense — ocean-facing, well appointed, with a private outdoor balcony and its own facilities. Bed configuration is flexible, with either a king-size bed or twin beds available; detailed arrangements can be confirmed on request. The glazing deserves particular mention. Rather than the heavy round portholes of older Galápagos vessels, each suite is fronted by a wall of tempered glass with a door onto the balcony. The practical result is that the islands are present in the room from the moment you wake — a different seascape each morning and each afternoon, without leaving your bed. The table Three meals a day, prepared on board. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet-style; dinner is a more considered sit-down affair in the al fresco dining area on the partially covered sky deck, which is where the day tends to settle. Ingredients are fresh and sourced from island farms wherever the season allows. Dietary requirements are handled as a matter of course, and children's menus are available. Crew and operation The Elite carries state-of-the-art navigation technology and safety equipment — non-negotiable in these waters, where the reward of remote anchorages comes with real responsibility. She is run by a team with deep experience of the archipelago, its logistics and the rhythm that makes a Galápagos itinerary work: planning that is precise so the days on board don't have to be.
