Tersane 8 — 45m gulet, Aegean & Turkish coast Forty-five metres of mahogany and teak, built in Fethiye by an owner who had already launched seven gulets before her. Tersane 8 is the eighth of the line, and it shows in the way she is put together: this is a hull shaped by people who build the same thing, better, each time. Her scale is unusual for a gulet. Fourteen cabins accommodate up to 32 guests — six with a double bed, four with twin beds, and four further cabins whose configuration can be confirmed on request. That capacity makes her a genuine option for large family gatherings, group charters and multi-generational parties that would otherwise have to split across two yachts. Under way, twin 750 hp Daewoo engines give her a reliable 12 knots when the itinerary calls for it — enough to move between the Dodecanese and the Turkish coast without turning a passage into a day at sea. Her natural cruising ground is the Aegean: Greece, Turkey, and the bays and archipelagos in between, where a gulet of this length can anchor close in and stay there. The appeal is straightforward. Wide timber decks, shade, a table long enough for everyone, and a crew who run the day around swimming, lunch and the next anchorage rather than a schedule. For groups of this size, that ease is the whole point.
