Mathieu, founder of BellaYacht Charter

I personally support you in choosing and booking your yacht, by the day or by the week. A yacht broker since 2015, I founded BellaYacht Charter in 2019 to give access to a fleet of some of the finest units available in the Mediterranean and beyond — no unnecessary middlemen.

My commitment: a fast, personal response to every request, concrete proposals rather than a plain catalog, and support at every step — from the first contact to your return to port.

AEGEAS Built in 2005 by a Greek traditional shipyard, AEGEAS is a 15.24m (50ft) sailing gulet — a hull type shaped by generations of Aegean boatbuilding rather than by a design studio, and all the better for it. A refit completed in 2023 brought her back up to standard for chartering the Greek islands, which remains her home cruising ground. Below deck, four cabins each accommodate two guests in a double bed, for a total of eight. The arrangement is deliberately uncomplicated: four equivalent cabins, no hierarchy of who gets the better one, which suits a group of couples or a family sharing the same yacht on equal terms. Under sail or under power, AEGEAS moves at a gulet's natural rhythm — 8 knots cruising, 9 knots at the top end. That pace is the point. It matches the geography she works in, where the passage between two islands is measured in a lazy morning rather than an hour, and where arriving late in a quiet bay is usually the better plan. A crew of three runs the yacht and looks after the eight guests aboard — enough hands for the sailing, the cooking and the day-to-day, in the close, informal register that gulet chartering does well.
