SERENDIPITY — Lagoon 50, Croatia A 2023 Lagoon, 15.24 metres of catamaran launched barely into her first seasons: SERENDIPITY belongs to that new generation of sailing multihulls that Croatia's cruising grounds seem to have been drawn for. The Dalmatian islands ask for shallow draught, easy anchoring and shade — a catamaran answers all three without argument. Accommodation is unusually consistent for a yacht of this size: three cabins, each with a double bed, six guests, no compromise berth and no one drawing the short straw. Couples cruising together will appreciate the arrangement, as will families who prefer symmetry to hierarchy. Life aboard a catamaran of this generation happens outdoors and at deck level — the cockpit and saloon read as one continuous space, level with the water, sheltered from sun and open to whatever bay you have chosen for the afternoon. Under way she stays flat, which changes everything for guests who are not lifelong sailors. Charters run with crew, so navigation, anchorages and the day's rhythm are handled for you. The Kornati, Hvar, Vis: a week's cruise from Split or Dubrovnik falls into place naturally.
