BALI 4.8 — Italy The BALI 4.8 opened a new generation of catamarans for the yard, and it shows in the way the yacht is laid out rather than in any single headline feature. The forward cockpit is rigid — a genuine second living space with its own lounge and sunbathing area, reached from inside through an interior door rather than by working your way along the side decks. That detail matters more than it sounds: it turns the bow into somewhere you actually spend time, at anchor off Ponza or through a long lunch in the Aeolians. Aft, the platform bridging the two sugarscoops carries a wide bench seat and lockers, and doubles as the natural gathering point for swimming. The saloon opens up completely thanks to a large tilt-and-turn door and sliding windows, so the distinction between inside and outside more or less disappears once the yacht is settled in a bay. On the coachroof, a panoramic relaxation area gives you the high vantage point — useful when the coastline is the whole point of the day. Accommodation is arranged over five cabins for ten guests, with panels opening directly onto the aft cockpit — a configuration that suits families sailing together as easily as two or three couples wanting their own space. Detailed bed layout is available on request. Based in Italy, the 4.8 is well matched to the cruising there: Amalfi and the Pontine islands, the Tuscan archipelago, Sicily and the Aeolians. The catamaran's shallow draft and stability at anchor let you take the quieter coves rather than the crowded ones, and the crew handles the rest — routing, provisioning, timing your arrivals to avoid the day-boat crush.
