AMMONITE — Explorer Yachting in the Bahamas Some yachts are built for the marina. AMMONITE was built to leave it. An explorer by design and by temperament, she carries the volume and the self-sufficiency that let a cruising programme wander well beyond the obvious anchorages — and she puts that capability to work in the Bahamas, where she operates year-round, summer and winter alike. A refit completed in 2022 keeps her current. Her living areas are generous rather than showy: broad open decks on one hand, sheltered interiors on the other, and the freedom to move between them as the light and the breeze dictate. Watching the shallows change colour from a shaded deck seat, or from inside with the horizon framed in glass, is simply a matter of preference. Accommodation is arranged across three cabins for six guests, comprising an owner's cabin and two further cabins with double beds. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. Her real distinction lies below the surface. AMMONITE is a PADI dive boat with a full complement of diving equipment aboard, and PADI certifications and further courses can be completed directly from the yacht — a rare thing on a charter platform, and the reason experienced divers and first-timers alike tend to leave with more than photographs. Her 26' Regulator opens up the dive sites the crowds never reach, and is equally well outfitted for world-class fishing. The crew are experienced in running this kind of programme, where the day's plan follows the conditions, the tides and the guests' ambitions rather than a fixed itinerary. It is a specific charter proposition, and a deliberately narrow one: AMMONITE is for guests who want the water itself to be the point.
