M/Y ELENA — Athens / Patras, Greece There is a particular kind of yacht that Greece does better than anywhere else: the steel-hulled classic, built locally, run by people who know these waters intimately. M/Y Elena is one of them — launched in 1992 from Perama Shipyard and among the first yachts to enter the Greek charter market, which tells you something about how long her formula has been working. She is a classic displacement yacht, and she behaves like one: steady, unhurried, comfortable in a swell where lighter hulls start to fidget. Her interior is built throughout in oak and mahogany, warm and solid underfoot, with the kind of joinery that ages into character rather than out of fashion. A swim platform at the stern gives direct, easy access to the water. A refit completed in 2023 brought her presentation up to date without touching what makes her herself: full exterior repaint, new carpets in the saloon and every cabin, new upholstery on the saloon sofas, a new sofa in the owner's cabin, new exterior seating and sunbeds on the upper deck, new teak deck chairs for the lower deck dining table, and Bluetooth and USB music stations fitted in five cabins. Her tender was fully restored at the same time. Accommodation — six cabins for up to 13 guests. The VIP cabin sits on the main deck, alongside the saloon, dining area and galley. The owner's cabin is amidships on the lower deck and has its own sofa, with two cabins with twin beds nearby and two more aft on the lower deck. All cabins are en suite and fully air-conditioned. Crew quarters are separate, with their own entrance — the kind of layout detail that quietly protects the atmosphere on board. Deck space is generous for her size, spread across two levels of sun deck and shaded exterior dining. Elena's appeal is less about statement design than about the ease of settling in: guests tend to find their spot on the first afternoon and keep it for the week. A crew of five looks after the yacht and her guests, with the attentiveness that comes from running the same coastline season after season. On board: a 4.40m tender with 70hp outboard, water skis, tubes and rings, plus snorkelling and fishing equipment for the anchorages of the Saronic, the Cyclades and the Ionian.

Long-Serving Crew, Greek Waters
Several crew members have served aboard this same yacht for many years — some since the early 1990s, others for over a decade or across multiple seasons — giving them an intimate command of the vessel and its upkeep. Their extensive experience of Greek waters allows them to recommend the finest spots to visit, including secluded coves and pleasant swimming areas.
A selection in the same zone, with a comparable profile.
