Prestige M48 — Italia IV Launched in 2025 and based in Italy, *Italia IV* belongs to a newer breed of charter yacht: the crewed power catamaran, built around space and steadiness rather than sheer length. At 14.79 metres with a 6-metre beam, she carries the volume of a considerably larger monohull, and her twin hulls hold her flat — the kind of stability you notice at anchor over lunch, when glasses stay where you left them. Below, four cabins accommodate eight guests. Each has a double bed and its own private bathroom, so no group has to negotiate who takes the smaller berth. A separate crew cabin with its own facilities keeps service discreet and independent of guest space. The deck layout is where a catamaran earns its keep. The covered flybridge is generous enough to become the yacht's main living room — sunpads, a U-shaped sofa and a removable table that adapts to aperitivo or a full lunch in the shade. Forward, a sunbathing area with adjustable backrests catches the morning light. Aft, the cockpit is laid in teak around a wooden table, sheltered and level with the water's edge, while the electric multi-position swim platform drops down to serve as a beach club or handle the tender. Under way, twin 320-horsepower Volvo Penta D4 engines with V-Drive transmission and joystick control give around 15 knots of cruising speed and roughly 20 knots at the top end — with a range of up to 600 nautical miles at 8 knots and fuel consumption some 20% lower than an equivalent monohull. Practically, that means longer coastal runs without recalculating the itinerary around bunkering. A professional crew handles navigation, service and the day's rhythm, leaving guests to decide only where to drop anchor next along the Italian coast and the wider Mediterranean.
