## Rascal — 30m Traditional Phinisi Built by hand in Sulawesi in 2015, Rascal belongs to a boatbuilding tradition that predates the yachting industry by centuries. The phinisi is Indonesia's own answer to the cruising yacht: timber shaped by shipwrights working largely by eye, with the broad beam and generous deck volumes that make these vessels so well suited to the archipelago they were born to sail. At 30 metres overall, Rascal carries that heritage lightly. The interior owes nothing to nautical pastiche — the mood is closer to a summer house on the Atlantic seaboard, all pale timber and unforced comfort, the kind of space you settle into rather than admire from the doorway. Accommodation is arranged across five cabins for up to ten guests. Detailed bed configuration is available on request, and can be discussed against the composition of your party. Four separate living areas give the yacht its defining quality: room to spread out. On a charter of this length, with a full complement aboard, that matters more than almost anything else. Groups naturally divide and regroup through the day — some reading in the shade, others eating late, someone else asleep after a morning dive — and Rascal absorbs all of it without anyone feeling crowded. The comparison to a floating villa is fair, and it is meant practically rather than as flattery. Her crew live aboard year-round in Indonesian waters and know the anchorages, the tides and the timing that turn a good itinerary into the right one. Service is attentive without being ceremonious, which suits the yacht. Rascal is best understood as a way of reaching places that reward slowness — remote, quiet, and easier to appreciate from a vessel that was designed for them in the first place.

Deep Komodo and Raja Ampat Expertise
Several crew members have made this phinisi their long-term home and know its sailing and tenders inside out, while others count Komodo and Raja Ampat as their declared areas of expertise. Between them they know the reliable anchorages, the best snorkelling and dive drop-offs, treks such as Komodo and Pindito, and landmark spots like Wayag and Labuan
A selection in the same zone, with a comparable profile.
