YCM 105 — Sunseeker 32m There is a particular kind of yacht that suits the Bahamas: shallow-draft island hopping, long lunches at anchor, the run down to the Exumas with nothing on the schedule. YCM 105 was built for exactly that rhythm. A 32-metre (105ft) motor yacht from Sunseeker, launched in 2002 and given a full refit in 2020, she carries the British yard's signature blend of pace and practicality. Sunseeker built its reputation on hulls that feel composed underway rather than merely fast, and the numbers here are honest ones: 11 knots at cruise, 18 knots when the tender needs collecting or the weather window shortens. Accommodation is arranged across five cabins for twelve guests, with the detailed berth configuration available on request. It is a layout with genuine flexibility — enough space to host two or three families without anyone feeling they drew the short straw. Her cruising ground is one of the best-served in the world. Based in the Bahamas, she operates out of Nassau and ranges across the Turks and Caicos Islands and north to Miami — a territory of sandbars, cays and clear-water anchorages where a yacht of this size can slip into places larger vessels simply cannot reach. A crew of five looks after five cabins, which is the ratio that matters: attentive service without a permanent audience. They know these waters, they know where the good snorkelling is when the guidebook anchorage is crowded, and they understand the difference between presence and interruption. For charter parties who want the Bahamas properly — not from a distance — YCM 105 is a well-judged, well-maintained option with the refit work behind her.
