MOTEK — Bali Catamarans, 17.07m / 56ft, 2023 A 2023 build from Bali Catamarans, MOTEK belongs to a generation of sailing catamarans designed around outdoor living rather than around a narrow hull. At 17.07 metres, she has the beam to spread guests across wide, level deck spaces — the kind of layout where breakfast, the shaded lounge and the swim platform are all within a few steps of each other, and where nobody has to climb over anyone to reach them. Accommodation is arranged in five cabins for up to ten guests. There is an owner's cabin, along with four cabins each fitted with a queen-size bed, all served by en-suite bathroom facilities. It is a rare balance on a yacht of this size: five genuine double cabins, which makes MOTEK equally suited to two or three families travelling together or to a group of couples who each want their own space at the end of the day. A crew of two runs the yacht — close-quarters service, discreet and hands-on, with the flexibility that a small professional team brings to a relaxed charter rhythm. Her programme follows the trade winds. Summers are spent in the Bahamas, where shallow draft and a catamaran's stability are real advantages among the sandbanks and cays. Winters take her through the U.S. and British Virgin Islands and down the Leeward and Windward chains — short, sheltered passages between islands, with the anchorage always in sight before dinner.
