WAVE 50 — Olbia, Sardinia The first hull of Wave Catamarans' new line, the WAVE 50 was conceived around a simple premise: that the volume and easy living usually reserved for much larger yachts could be engineered into fifty feet. The numbers bear it out — more than 160 m² of usable space, a ratio that few catamarans of this size come close to. The shape of the superstructure is where that gain is won. It opens up a saloon and a forward cockpit of a size rarely seen at this length, giving guests two genuinely distinct places to gather rather than one compromise. Outside, the inverted bows and the sharp slits cut into the hull sides give the yacht a lean, contemporary profile, while the rigid roof spoiler on the upper deck reinforces that slenderness. Design and energy solutions were developed together here — the result being a yacht that is quiet, undemanding to live aboard, and calm at anchor. Accommodation is arranged across five cabins for eight guests, with the detailed bed configuration available on request. A refit was completed in 2024. Based in Olbia, the WAVE 50 sits at the doorstep of the Costa Smeralda and the Maddalena archipelago — a cruising ground of granite coves and shallow turquoise water that suits a shallow-draft catamaran particularly well.
