Mathieu

Mathieu, founder of BellaYacht Charter

I personally support you in choosing and booking your yacht, by the day or by the week. A yacht broker since 2015, I founded BellaYacht Charter in 2019 to give access to a fleet of some of the finest units available in the Mediterranean and beyond — no unnecessary middlemen.

My commitment: a fast, personal response to every request, concrete proposals rather than a plain catalog, and support at every step — from the first contact to your return to port.

GRANIL belongs to a small and well-regarded family: she is one of just six Darwin 86 hulls built by Cantiere delle Marche, the Italian yard that made explorer yachts credible at this size. Delivered in 2014, her 26.1-metre steel-and-aluminium sensibility comes from the drawing board of Jonathan Quinn Barnett, whose exterior lines give her the purposeful, slightly workboat-honest stance that distinguishes a genuine go-anywhere yacht from a flybridge cruiser dressed up as one. That pedigree matters in practice. The Darwin platform was conceived for range and sea-keeping rather than headline speed, which translates on charter into an unhurried ride, quiet passages and the freedom to plan an itinerary around anchorages rather than fuel stops. In the Western Mediterranean — the Ligurian coast, Corsica and Sardinia, the Balearics — that means slipping into the smaller bays while larger yachts stay outside. Below, four cabins accommodate up to eight guests, with the detailed bed configuration available on request so the layout can be matched to your party before you commit. Her professional crew lives aboard year-round and runs the yacht with the discretion the format invites: service that anticipates rather than performs, meals timed to the day you actually feel like having, and local knowledge that turns a coastline you thought you knew into something more interesting. GRANIL suits charterers who want a yacht with genuine character and a real sense of exploration, at a size that stays intimate.
