## INDIAN — Explorer, 25 m INDIAN belongs to a category apart. She is a true explorer: a steel-built displacement yacht of nearly 200 tons, 25 metres overall with a 7.5-metre beam and a 2.8-metre draft, laid out over four decks — which gives her the interior volume you would normally expect from a 33-metre yacht. Her RINA class A rating for unrestricted navigation is not a detail on a spec sheet; it is the reason she can hold her course when lighter yachts turn back. What follows from that hull form is range. Up to 4,500 nautical miles at 10.5 knots, on a consumption of around 70 litres per hour. Reduce to a 7.5–8 knot night passage and the figure falls to 16–20 litres per hour. In practical terms, this is a yacht that can take you from the Aeolian Islands to the Ionian, or from Corsica to the Tuscan Archipelago, without the itinerary ever being dictated by the next fuel dock. Stabilisers work both underway and at anchor, and the result is a boat that stays quiet and settled — very little noise, very little vibration, at sea or on the hook. A refit was completed in 2023. A genuinely green programme. This is one of the more interesting things about INDIAN, and it comes from the crew as much as from the yacht. LED lighting throughout — interior, exterior and underwater — energy-dispersion monitoring, a diesel purifier for cleaner combustion, and natural, low-impact materials specified for refit work. On board, service is in ceramic and glass; there are no plastic straws, and plastic bottles are kept to a minimum thanks to an onboard drinking-water producer that fills the carafes used daily. The 4,000-litre tank and twin freshwater systems producing 300 litres per hour mean water availability is effectively unlimited. Three fridges and five freezers give real provisioning autonomy, whether for a long passage or an event on board. Accommodation. Four spacious ensuite cabins for up to nine guests. The owner's cabin is a full-beam suite aft of 25 m², with a VIP cabin forward and two further cabins fitted with twin beds. Each cabin has audio via the yacht's central Sonos system and satellite television, so the same music can play — or not play — wherever you happen to be, at any latitude. Detailed bed configuration on request. Life on deck. The exterior spaces are unusually generous for the length, again a consequence of that explorer volume. The upper deck is the entertaining deck: full bar, BBQ, a six-burner stove and a dining table for ten. The main deck aft sits in the shade, where two coffee tables convert into a dining table for up to ten. Inside, the salon holds a large oval table for eight. Wherever you eat, the sea is the view. The wheelhouse is fitted with serious navigational equipment and large windows that give the watch proper visibility. Satellite internet and television keep you connected as far as you care to go. The crew. A professional-grade galley and an experienced chef sit behind the table service, and the crew as a whole is what turns the yacht's technical capability into an easy holiday. They are also, notably, the driving force behind her environmental programme — this is a team that takes the sea it works on seriously.
