M/Y Olga — Cantieri di Pisa, 1977 Some yachts carry their period with real authority. Built in 1977 at Cantieri di Pisa and drawn by Pierluigi Spadolini, Olga belongs to a generation whose design language went on to shape Italian yacht building for years afterwards: a compact, low-slung superstructure, generous glazed openings and dark portholes set into her flanks — proportions that still read as considered rather than dated. A refit completed in 2024 brought her systems and finishes up to current charter standards, which matters: the pleasure of a yacht of this vintage depends entirely on how well she has been maintained, and Olga has been given the attention her pedigree deserves. Below, five cabins accommodate ten guests. The owner's cabin sits alongside two cabins with a double bed and two cabins with twin beds — a layout that works equally well for a family group or two couples travelling together. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. The salon is quietly elegant rather than showy: two sofas, a coffee table, and a round card table that tends to become the natural gathering point once the sun drops. There is an indoor dining room, well-appointed cabins throughout, and a fully equipped galley supporting the service on board. Outside, the yacht offers a clear rhythm to the day. The aft deck seats up to ten around a single dining table — the obvious place for long lunches at anchor. The foredeck is given over to sunbathing, and the sundeck combines an alfresco dining area with further space to stretch out in the sun. Olga charters from her home port of Milazzo, in Sicily, with her crew handling the running of the yacht and the service on board so that the itinerary — the Aeolian Islands are on her doorstep — remains the only thing guests need to think about.
