## RIGEL — 30.5m custom gulet, cruising Turkey There is a particular rhythm to a gulet holiday in Turkey: wide teak decks, the shade of a canvas awning, and anchorages reached at a pace that leaves time for a second swim before lunch. RIGEL, a custom-built 30.5-metre gulet, is made for exactly that. Launched in 1994 and given a refit in 2016, she carries the substance of a purpose-built charter yacht rather than a converted one — generous beam, the deck space that comes with it, and the kind of proportions that let ten guests spread out without ever feeling on top of one another. Accommodation. Four cabins host up to ten guests. Three are owner's cabins, an unusually even layout that works well for families travelling together or groups of friends who would rather not draw lots for the best room. The fourth cabin is fitted with a double bed for two. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. Life aboard. A crew of four looks after the yacht and her guests — navigation, cooking, service and the daily logistics of Turkish cruising, from choosing the right bay for the afternoon breeze to having the swim ladder down before the anchor has settled. It is attentive without being formal, which is the point of a gulet. The Turkish coast is her home ground: the Gulf of Gökova, the bays around Bodrum and Marmaris, the run down towards Fethiye and the Twelve Islands.
