S Dogu — 32m gulet, Marmaris A 32-metre gulet built in 2006 and given a full refit in 2014, S Dogu belongs to that particular Turkish tradition where shipwrights' craft meets contemporary comfort. Custom-built as a motor-sailer, she is based in Marmaris and cruises the Aegean — a coastline where the sailing is unhurried and the anchorages come with archaeology attached. Below deck, six cabins accommodate twelve guests: two owner's cabins and four cabins with a double bed, each served by its own en-suite bathroom. Detailed bed configuration on request. The interior is finished in warm timber panelling, the kind of joinery that gives a gulet its character and keeps the saloon comfortable when the afternoon sun is high. Deck life is where a yacht of this type earns her keep. The flybridge is generous, with a Jacuzzi set among the loungers and uninterrupted views of the Turkish shore — the natural gathering point at the end of a long swimming day. Indoors, the entertainment system covers DVD/CD, iPod docking, LCD screens and satellite television, with Wi-Fi throughout. A crew of five runs the yacht, handling the sailing, the galley and the daily rhythm of a charter week with the discretion the format calls for. For time in the water, S Dogu carries a sea kayak, wakeboard, water skis, donut and tube, snorkelling equipment, and fishing gear for those inclined to try the local waters.
