Built in South Africa by Knysna, this 48-foot sailing catamaran belongs to a line of yachts designed for real distance rather than marina posing. Twenty-six feet of beam give her the stability and interior volume that make long passages comfortable, and she has been thoroughly tested on extended cruises to remote anchorages — which, in Fiji, is precisely the point. A refit completed in 2022 brought her up to current standard throughout. Under power, her twin three-cylinder Yanmar diesels are frugal and cruise her at a steady 9 to 10 knots; with the sails up she comfortably exceeds 12. Between the two, the Yasawas, the Mamanucas and the outer islands come within easy reach. Accommodation is arranged across four private cabins, each with a queen-size bed, for a total of eight guests. Every cabin has quality linens, generous ventilation from 12v fans, air conditioning, reading lights and USB and 12v outlets — small details that matter after a week aboard. Two private heads sit adjacent to the cabins, each with flushing toilet, sink, mirror and hot-water shower. The fully equipped galley gives the chef what is needed to cook properly rather than improvise, and a 100-litre-per-hour watermaker means fresh water is never rationed. A 240v and 110v power inverter keeps everything charged, wherever you happen to be. Life on board gravitates aft. The back deck and generous swim platforms make boarding effortless and give you the space to work a serious fish to the boat; the platform is fitted with a boarding ladder and a freshwater shower for the return from the reef. The crew handles navigation, cooking and the daily rhythm of the yacht with the discretion that comes from knowing these waters and running this catamaran well. For the water itself, she carries a jet ski, kayaks, a paddle board, windsurfing equipment, snorkelling gear and fishing tackle.
