Mathieu, founder of BellaYacht Charter

I personally support you in choosing and booking your yacht, by the day or by the week. A yacht broker since 2015, I founded BellaYacht Charter in 2019 to give access to a fleet of some of the finest units available in the Mediterranean and beyond — no unnecessary middlemen.

My commitment: a fast, personal response to every request, concrete proposals rather than a plain catalog, and support at every step — from the first contact to your return to port.

Akana is a Lagoon 52 F, one of the sailing catamarans that has become a natural fit for the Croatian coast: enough beam to spread ten guests comfortably, shallow enough draft to tuck into the bays that monohulls have to admire from a distance. A refit completed in 2025 means she comes to charter freshly turned out. Accommodation is unusually even-handed for a catamaran this size. Five cabins sleep ten, two with a queen-size bed and three with a double bed, and each has its own bathroom with a shower. Full bedding is provided throughout. There is no hierarchy of hulls here, no cabin anyone will feel short-changed by — a real advantage when you are chartering with several couples or two families travelling together. Life on board settles quickly into the rhythm the Dalmatian islands invite. Air conditioning and heating extend the season at both ends, and the audio system carries through to the exterior speakers, so the cockpit and the trampolines up forward become the day's centre of gravity. The galley is properly kitted out — fridge, oven, coffee machine and ice maker — which in practice means long lunches at anchor rather than a scramble ashore at midday. On the navigation side, radar, a GPS plotter and an onboard generator cover the essentials for island-hopping between Split, the Kornati and the Pakleni archipelago with real autonomy. Akana suits charterers who want the space and stability of a modern sailing catamaran without ceremony: a yacht where the days are shaped by wind, swimming stops and where you feel like dropping the hook for the night.
