DARK STAR OF LONDON — 27.5m Trehard She began life as BUZY B, a racing yacht campaigned on the international circuit, built by the Trehard yard in Antibes. That origin still shows: a hull shaped to move, a rig that means it, and the kind of directness under way that no modern production yacht quite reproduces. The conversion from racer to charter yacht came at Camper & Nicholson, where she was rebuilt with an entirely new interior layout, teak decks, and reworked engineering and electrical systems. Her most recent refit was completed in 2026. The result is a yacht with a genuine competitive past and none of the discomfort that usually comes with it — Starlink connectivity included. Below, five cabins accommodate ten guests: three with a double bed, two with twin beds. Day charters can take eleven. The layout suits families and groups of friends travelling together rather than a single hierarchy of owner and guests, which is often exactly the point on a yacht of this size. Life on board happens in the cockpit, shaded by a bimini and built around a table that comfortably holds the whole party for long lunches — the kind that start after a swim and end when someone suggests moving on to the next anchorage. Under sail she is quiet and purposeful; under power she gets you where dinner is booked. The crew is permanent, experienced with this yacht in particular, and used to reading a charter party's rhythm rather than imposing one. Summer 2026 and 2027 will see her cruising Sardinia, Sicily, the Amalfi Coast and Tuscany, as well as French waters — a programme that plays to her strengths: real passages between islands, not just short hops.
