CURANTA CRIDHE

Curanta Cridhe — Gaelic for Braveheart — is a one-off catamaran drawn by Dixon Yacht Design and built to her owner's brief. At 50 feet, she belongs to that category of yacht where the platform does the work: wide side decks, generous beam, and the natural stability that lets guests move around at anchor without a hand on the rail. A refit completed in 2025 keeps her presentation current. Accommodation is arranged over three cabins for six guests, all air-conditioned. The owner's cabin sits at the top of the layout, with two further cabins offering a king-size bed each. Every cabin has its own en-suite, a desk and vanity area, and the kind of stowage that makes a week aboard feel unhurried rather than improvised. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. The salon is built around two roomy leather seating areas and an open galley — a layout that keeps the cook within conversation range rather than shut away, and turns the preparation of lunch or an early evening cocktail into part of the day's rhythm. Outside, seating and lounging is spread across shaded and open areas, so guests choose their own light: a book under cover through the middle of the afternoon, full sun once the breeze picks up. For time in the water, she carries snorkelling gear, a tube, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and Subwings. Her season runs from Imperia in summer and Porto Rotondo in winter, with cruising across the Ligurian coast, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, the Bay of Naples and down towards Marseille — an itinerary a catamaran of this size handles well, slipping into anchorages and shallow bays that heavier displacement yachts have to admire from further out.
