SH Vega Built at the Helsinki Shipyard in Finland — a yard whose name carries weight in ice-capable construction — SH Vega was conceived for the places most yachts never reach. Svalbard, Greenland, Norway and Iceland in the high latitudes; Brazil further south; Belize and the Bahamas when the itinerary turns warm. Few vessels move so credibly between those extremes. The accommodation comprises 76 cabins for 152 guests, with detailed bed configurations available on request. Below the surface of the polished interiors sits a genuinely purposeful expedition platform. Dedicated expedition facilities are built into the ship rather than added to it, which is what allows remote landings and long days ashore to feel unhurried rather than improvised. The interiors are bespoke and unhurried in feel: clean, confident lines softened by wood, metal and natural fabrics, plush furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows that keep the landscape in view from almost anywhere aboard. Sightlines are deliberately unobstructed throughout — a design decision that pays off constantly when the scenery outside is the reason you came. A panoramic sauna offers one of the better vantage points on board, particularly in the northern latitudes. Dining is handled in a restaurant of genuine standard, and the staterooms are generous enough to make sea days something other than an interval between landings.
