BIG DADDY — Lagoon, 2022 · 15.84m / 52ft · Sardinia A 2022 build from Lagoon, one of the most widely sailed catamaran yards in the world, BIG DADDY is a 15.84-metre sailing catamaran based in Sardinia. The choice of platform says a good deal about the experience on offer: multihull stability, shallow draft, and the kind of broad, level deck space that a monohull of the same length simply cannot provide. In practical terms, that means anchorages closed to deeper-keeled yachts — the shelter of the Maddalena archipelago, the pale sand shelves off the Costa Smeralda — come within easy reach. Accommodation is arranged over seven cabins for up to twelve guests, with the detailed bed configuration available on request so the layout can be matched to your party before you board. Life aboard a catamaran of this type is naturally horizontal and open: the saloon and cockpit read as a single living space, sheltered yet fully connected to the water, and the transom steps put you into the sea in seconds rather than by ceremony. Mornings tend to start with coffee in the cockpit while the anchor chain is still cool; afternoons rarely require a plan. The yacht is run by a professional crew of one, which sets the tone for the charter — attentive, unfussy, and closer in spirit to sailing with a knowledgeable local than to formal service. Sardinia is a cruising ground that rewards exactly that: someone who knows which bay empties out by six o'clock and which trattoria ashore is worth the tender ride. A straightforward, well-proportioned catamaran for a large group who want to be in the water more than they are out of it.
A selection in the same zone, with a comparable profile.
