Lamain Voyages II A Phinisi launched in 2022, Lamain Voyages II belongs to a lineage of traditional Indonesian sailing craft — timber hulls, twin masts, generous open decks — built here for extended cruising through some of the most remote water in Southeast Asia. She works the Komodo National Park, Flores and East Nusa Tenggara, a stretch of archipelago where volcanic islands drop straight into reef and the nearest marina is a long way off. That self-sufficiency is the point of a yacht like this. Accommodation is arranged across eight cabins for twelve guests, comprising an owner's cabin, a further individual cabin, a pair of cabins and a group of four more, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Detailed bed configurations are available on request. Twelve guests across eight cabins means real breathing room aboard, and a service ratio that shows. Life on board settles into a rhythm quickly. The dining room and bar form the social heart of the yacht — long lunches after a morning dive, a drink while the light goes — while the top deck is where most of the day ends up being spent, open to the panorama and the breeze. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are included throughout. Itineraries are set with guests rather than handed to them, and can be adjusted as the week unfolds: a reef worth a second visit, an early departure to reach a ridge before the heat. The crew know these waters, which is what makes that flexibility genuinely useful rather than merely offered. The diving is central to the appeal. A dedicated dive platform gives secure, straightforward water access for certified divers and first-timers alike, opening onto the reef systems that make Komodo one of the more compelling underwater destinations anywhere — manta rays, dense schooling fish, coral in good health. Between dives there is snorkelling straight off the yacht, hiking ashore across the islands, and the chance to see the Komodo dragons on their own ground.
