MAGENTA — 27m Leopard (Arno), cruising the French coastline There is a particular kind of Italian motoryacht that was built to cover distance without fuss, and MAGENTA belongs to that lineage. Launched in 2002 by Leopard — the Arno yard's performance line — she measures 27 metres, or 89 feet, and carries the proportions that made those hulls recognisable: long, low, purposeful. A refit completed in 2009 brought her forward. Her numbers explain a good deal about how she is chartered. A 22-knot cruise and 27 knots at the top end mean the coastline opens up rather than closes in: lunch in one bay, evening in another, without the day being spent watching the wake. On the French Riviera, where the distance between anchorages is measured in appetite as much as in miles, that matters. Accommodation is arranged for six guests across three cabins — an owner's cabin, a VIP cabin, and a third with twin beds. Detailed bed configuration is available on request.
