## Stella — Swan 82FD A German Frers design built by Nautor's Swan, Stella belongs to a small group of yachts that made performance cruising a genuine discipline rather than a compromise. The 82FD line has a long-standing reputation among sailors who want a yacht that actually goes — and Stella, by most accounts, sails harder than her sisterships. That edge isn't marketing. A replacement rudder and keel lowered her centre of gravity, sharpened acceleration and improved her pointing ability, leaving her notably well balanced under sail. In 2016 a new Hall Spars high-modulus carbon mast reduced weight aloft and increased righting moment. The practical dividend, beyond boat speed, is a more settled ride: less pitching, cleaner acceleration out of a tack, and a yacht that stays easy to handle when the breeze fills in. Her 2024 refit, completed at the Swan Service Centre in Badalona, was thorough rather than cosmetic: new teak deck, hull repainted in navy blue, full rig service, an entirely new sail wardrobe and all electronics replaced and upgraded. She reads today like a contemporary Swan — the presence of a proven hull with none of the tiredness that usually comes with it. Below, three cabins accommodate eight guests. The owner's cabin sits alongside a cabin fitted with twin beds and an additional upper berth, sleeping three, plus a third guest cabin. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. Stella follows the classic charter calendar: the Caribbean in winter, the Western Mediterranean in summer — the Balearics, the French Riviera, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily and the Amalfi Coast. Her crew handles the sailing and the service with the discretion that this kind of yacht invites, leaving guests free to steer for an hour or simply sit out on deck as the miles go by.
