AIX — 44.50m Sanlorenzo, delivered 2022 Sixth hull in Sanlorenzo's Alloy series, AIX left the yard in July 2022 with exterior lines and interiors by Zuccon International Project and naval architecture developed in-house by Sanlorenzo. At 485 GT on 44.50 metres, she carries considerably more volume than her length suggests — the practical difference being felt in the size of the spaces rather than in a spec sheet. She is now based in Australia and the South Pacific, cruising the Great Barrier Reef, Sydney and New South Wales, Fiji, Papua New Guinea and New Zealand — one of the most recently built charter yachts working the region. Her defining feature is a tri-level owner's apartment of 147 square metres, laid out across indoor and outdoor areas with direct access to the foredeck pool. Aft, the beach club runs to 100 square metres of usable space, opened up by three hydraulic terraces that bring the sea within arm's reach. It is where the day tends to begin and end — long swims off the platform in the morning, shade and stillness once the sun drops. Performance is honest and useful: 23 knots at the top end when a passage needs shortening, 11 knots at cruise for the long South Pacific legs. Starlink high-speed wifi is fitted aboard both AIX and her support vessel AIX2, so remote anchorages don't mean disconnection. The crew are experienced in these waters, which matters more here than in most cruising grounds — reef navigation, remote provisioning and island logistics reward local knowledge.
