# IKIGAI A performance sailing yacht that rewards the people who actually take the helm — and looks after everyone else while they do it. IKIGAI came out of Vitters Shipyard in 2024 following a refit so extensive it amounted to a complete rebuild. That matters more than the word "refit" usually suggests: systems, finish and navigation electronics were addressed as a whole rather than patched, which is why she reads as a current yacht rather than a restored one. Inside, the joinery is clear varnished teak — light, warm, unfussy. The effect is a modern interior that keeps the honesty of a proper sailing yacht instead of borrowing the vocabulary of a motor yacht. Accommodation is arranged over three cabins for eight guests. The owner's cabin sits forward, generously proportioned, alongside two further guest cabins fitted with twin beds. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. Amidships, the saloon and dining area occupy the widest part of the yacht — the natural gathering point at the end of a long reach, and the room where most of a charter week is genuinely spent. Behind the companionway, the working half of the yacht is laid out with real logic: to port, the new high-tech navigation station and chart table, with the crew cabin beyond; to starboard, the galley and crew mess. Guests and crew each have their own territory, which is the quiet foundation of a well-run week aboard. The transom opens to a garage housing the tender, keeping the aft deck clear. Under sail, IKIGAI is the reason to charter her. She is exceptional to helm and genuinely strong upwind — the kind of yacht that makes a windward leg something you look forward to rather than endure. Her professional crew handles the sailing at whatever level of involvement you want, from hands-on watches to simply watching the coast go past. Her cruising range covers the French and Italian Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia, Marseille, the Balearics and Spain, with Caribbean seasons also within her scope.
