WALLY ONE holds a particular place in modern yachting history: she is the very first yacht of the Wally line, launched in 1991, and the boat that set the template for everything the yard would go on to build. Her thinking — a fast, clean-decked sailing yacht capable of maxi-racer performance yet genuinely comfortable to cruise as a family — was well ahead of its moment, and it reshaped expectations across the superyacht world. A long yard period through 2021 and 2022 brought a comprehensive refit inside and out, completed in 2022. She returns to charter with her original character intact and her presentation brought firmly up to date. Accommodation is arranged over three cabins for up to six guests, with the detailed berth configuration available on request. A crew of four looks after the yacht and the guests aboard — a ratio that suits a sailing programme where the day is shaped by the wind rather than a fixed schedule, and where an early start for a good breeze is part of the pleasure rather than an imposition. What she offers best is sailing that actually feels like sailing. Under way she is quick and rewarding, and at anchor she settles into the easy rhythm families look for: long lunches, swimming off the stern, and a range of watersports equipment on board to fill the afternoons. Her cruising grounds run from Marseille and the French coast through Corsica, Sardinia, Naples and Sicily to the Balearics and mainland Spain, with Caribbean seasons taking in St Barths, St Martin, Guadeloupe, Antigua and the Grenadines.
