DEA DEL MARE — previously known as DRAGONFLY — is a 28-metre (92ft) gulet delivered in 2009 by Bodrum Shipyard, in the Turkish port that has shaped this type of yacht for generations. A refit completed in 2019 has kept her current. Her cruising ground is Turkey, and few yachts suit that coastline better. A gulet moves at its own tempo — 10 knots in cruise, 12 at full speed — which is precisely the point when the day's plan involves a bay near Göcek, a swim before lunch and an anchorage chosen for the light rather than the distance covered. Accommodation is arranged over five cabins for ten guests: two owner's cabins, two cabins with a double bed, and one cabin with twin beds. All have en-suite facilities. Detailed bed configuration on request. A crew of four looks after the yacht and her guests — the discreet, well-drilled service that makes a week aboard feel effortless rather than organised.
