EYLUL 17 — 28 m of Turkish gulet craftsmanship, cruising the Aegean and the Turquoise Coast Launched in 2005 and refitted in 2022, EYLUL 17 belongs to a tradition that Turkey has quietly perfected over generations: the custom-built wooden gulet, shaped for long, unhurried days under sail along a coastline of pine-backed bays and half-hidden anchorages. At 28 metres, she has the presence to make an entrance in Göcek or Bodrum, and the draft and manners to slip into the smaller coves where the day really happens. Accommodation is arranged over five cabins for ten guests, each with its own ensuite. Two are owner's cabins, and three are fitted with a double bed — a layout that works as naturally for two families sharing a week as it does for a group of couples, without anyone drawing the short straw. Detailed bed configuration is available on request. The 2022 refit matters here. On a gulet, it is the difference between charming and genuinely comfortable: systems, finishes and living spaces brought up to current expectations while the hull keeps the character that makes these yachts worth chartering in the first place. She cruises at 9 knots, which is precisely the right speed for this coastline. Nothing about a week aboard EYLUL 17 rewards haste — breakfast at anchor, a passage under sail through the afternoon breeze, dinner on deck as the light goes off the hills behind you.
